About us:
We are looking for a co-founder with outstanding social media marketing skills and experience in sustainability to help us save the world
We’re working on an innovative solution that enables people to actively fight climate change through CO2 compensation and reforestation. Our goal is to establish a service, where people can offset their entire yearly carbon footprint, so that they can become carbon positive. Nevertheless, we believe that the first objective is always to reduce one’s footprint (e.g. by not flying) and then substituting (e.g. taking the train instead). Only as a last option a carbon offset should take place.
Whom we are looking for:
Our mission is to offset as much CO2 as we can by establishing the coolest brand in this field. This is what drives us, and we are looking for a Co-Founder (f/m/x) who shares this drive, and who wants to take co-ownership of the communication and content side of the business together with our forester. In this role, you will not only take care of the social media channel, but also co-develop the content strategy.
Your focus areas (to be further defined jointly):
- You will be our first marketing expert in the team and thus will be a key sparring partner for marketing related topics
- Brand development and positioning
- Driving traffic to the platform
- Co-developing the branding and communication strategy of the company
- Building and growing a community around our brand
- Creating content for Social Media
Your ideal profile:
- University degree in marketing, media, communication studies or similar subjects
- Track record in a leading marketing role in a fast-growing B2C e-commerce startup
- Enthusiasm for entrepreneurship as well as sustainability and community building
- Strong soft skills – empathetic, energetic, positive, optimistic, congenial
- Strong communication and influencing skills – clear, concise, and persuasive in style
- Solid understanding of the topic (e.g. daily life hacks to reduce one’s footprint) and willingness to deep dive into the topic in order to share knowledge with our user base
- Branding / communication skills and/or track record in marketing
- You have a bias for action and are able to operate in a highly ambitious environment; you are independent and get energy from building things from scratch
- Good knowledge of German and English
