BRAND COMMUNICATIONS

You’ll lead the Brand Communications function in AGS (Austria, Germany & Switzerland) with a clear strategic vision based on a deep knowledge of the key consumer targets and an effective partner network.
Brand Communications develops innovative consumer facing communication concepts and activates impactful and consistent marketing initiatives, building global brand meaning and product excitement in order to engage our consumers. Brand Communications provides functional expertise in advertising, media buying, digital communications & social media, consumer activation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

BRAND:

Strategic Planning: Working cross functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product Merchandising and the EMEA brand comms team to develop and implement the AGS comms calendar, which fulfills global, regional and market strategic objectives, stimulates product interest and purchase as well as ongoing brand engagement, loyalty and advocacy for the brand.
Ensuring all brand engagement with target audiences upholds Converse’s strategy and marketing principles across all platforms.

Seasonal Initiatives: Leveraging EMEA seasonal marketing briefs to develop AGS communication plans and consumer journeys which deliver against set regional KPI’s, ensuring excellence in execution and outstanding consumer engagement.

Culture Marketing: Maintaining brand heat by contributing to and collaborating with AGS creative culture through music, art and fashion.

Consumer Insights: Being the expert on the Converse consumer in AGS, monitoring trends in youth culture and target groups and clearly communication and leveraging insight.

BUSINESS:

Agencies: Developing and leading relationships with third party agency partners, ensuring Converse works with the best in class, most creative partners.

Legal: Maintain legal protocols, contracts, business affairs alignment and final approvals on campaigns and initiative content.

TEAM:

Brand communication function: Working closely with EMEA Brand Communications, driving creative and strategic alignment, timings, roles and responsibilities.

AGS marketing: Collaborating with the marketing team through weekly meetings to ensure project goals, deadlines and actions are being met.

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
Bachelor Degree or higher (can be compensated by relevant work experience)

EXPERIENCE:
– 6+ years of directly relevant client or agency marketing experience
– Passion for the Converse brand and creative cultures
– Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
– Hunger for creativity and innovation
– Deep know how of AGS advertising market and media landscape
– Ability to develop strategic communications plans and execute successfully
– Successful experience in working effectively with senior level management, ability to provide guidance and direction to peers and agency partners
– Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent grasp of both English and German languages (written and spoken)
– Proficient financial and digital knowledge
– Well organized, deadline orientated and a super multi-tasker
– A sense of humour, a great work ethic, and a strong idea of what is cool
