Amazon is seeking a creative, results-oriented Senior Social Media Marketing Manager (m/f) to be located in Germany. As part of the European Marketing/Traffic organization, he or she supports all aspects of the Social Media channel related to Germany towards specific business goals – increase Amazon brand affinity amongst fans & followers, increase fan engagement and manage Amazon’s relationship with fans through community management, creative marketing and content planning. This important initiative will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to fulfill the Amazon motto to “Work Hard. Have Fun. Make History.”

For the Munich office, Germany, Amazon is looking for a Senior Social Media Marketing Manager (m/f).

Your responsibilities:

• Manage the presence of Amazon on networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest
• Develop relationships with subject matter experts and Social Media stakeholders across the organization to create and cultivate content for distribution through social networking sites
• Ensure that the Amazon voice is consistently represented in all communications.
• Implement fan engagement and fan acquisition promotions like sweepstakes and contests.
• Help develop, test, and refine best practices for engaging with our fans and customers.
• Analyze key metrics and create performance reports.
• Support projects in order to improve Social Media performance and processes.
• Maintain a deep understanding of emerging Social Media trends and new social channels.
• Be an advocate for Social Media to the broader organization.
• Interact with counterparts in other marketplaces to foster global best practice exchange.

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, mathematics or other relevant field of study.
• Proven success developing, managing, and growing communities.
• Social Media etiquette, communication, and moderation skills.
• Strong leadership skills, creativity, and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and autonomously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent Excel skills
• Fluent in German and very good English language skills

• Demonstrable experience in communications or marketing.
• Experience in community management.
• Demonstrated ability to work with global technology and business teams.
• SQL skills and familiarity with statistical methods preferable.
