BAT GERMANY IS LOOKING FOR A SOCIAL MEDIA JUNIOR MANAGER (M/F/D)

LOCATION: Hamburg, Germany
REPORTS TO: Social Media & PR Manager
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
Purpose of this role is to be a part of creating a strong social media & press relation presence for our reduced-risk products (i.e., Glo, Vuse), BAT introduced with a vision for a better tomorrow. We are searching for a strong consumer-centric conceptual thinker with a broad knowledge of social media channels and the German media landscape to amplify brand equity & deliver commercial targets. For this, we are looking for someone who is always on top of social media including relevant talents to support state of the art, measurable campaigns which can be extended throughout other consumer experience touchpoints.
What you will be accountable for
- Support the Social Media & PR manager to deliver Social Media & Press Relation Targets (e.g. reach, engagement rate) via on-time-in-full implementation of launches & activations according to a cycle plan
- Creative development & deployment of activation concepts incl. messaging, asset creation & relevant end market approvals
- Close collaboration with the brand team to ensure that the communication strategy is aligned with the global brand strategy
- Monitoring channel performance through on-going tracking/reporting & analysis of available opportunities for the brand within set budget
- Collaborations with media/celebrities/content creators by identifying the best possible outcome for the brand, meeting local guidelines and BAT’s marketing principles
- Manage external agencies to ensure flawless implementation of activities & derive learnings for future concepts
- Continuous monitoring of competitors and exploration of new social media trends to exploit new advertising opportunities
- Senior stakeholder engagement via presenting results & learnings including next steps & recommendations
Essential experience, skills & knowledge
- University degree with focus on Marketing, ideally Communications, Public Relations or Social Media & relevant experience in these areas
- OR apprenticeship & at least 2 years of work experience in communication, public relations or social media role
- Consumer centric & creative mindset: Understanding of digital consumer behavior & curiosity for new social trends
- In depth understanding of German media landscape, Celebrities and Content Creators
- Strong project management skills, ability to drive & execute cross-functional projects
- Flexibility & intrinsic motivation to push projects forward autonomously
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach – to effectively manage multiple projects & external agencies in a fast-paced environment and work global and central teams
- Excellent communication skills – to build, manage and engage with internal stakeholders & departments and 3rd parties
- Thinking outside of the established ways of working to solve challenges (‘Can-Do Mindset’)
- Strong team player
- Fluent in German (is a must) & English
