SDL is currently recruiting for a Director/Senior Director EMEA to support our Language Services and Campaign and Analytics divisions on major deals for SDL’s Social Intelligence solutions.

The location for the role is flexible within Mainland Europe, ideally UK, Germany, Benelux, but flexible.

Key Requirement will be:

  1. To align with the sales teams on customer solutions during the sales process, see the deals through to close, and take over as the key client contact in EMEA .
  2. Work with our delivery teams USA and APAC to ensure that the output meets the client objectives.
  3. Deliver services outputs to the customer, and work with the sales team to continually cross/up sell.
  4. Recruiting and building an account management team in EMEA.

•    Creates coherent, cohesive, visual stories across findings and insights with immediate and significant value

Client Responsibilities
•    Brought in as needed for executive sponsorship of high value client engagements
•    Leverages prior experience, knowledge, and relationships to drive deeper client understanding and engagements
•    Can manage complex client situations, objectives, needs to successful outcomes
•    Able to quickly establish credibility with client, leading to a partner level relationship
•    Leverages a strong client perspective and understanding to help clients manage through ambiguity, define the actual research problem, and build proposals to successful outcomes
•    Able to deliver a compelling story and business case to guide client decision-making and direction
•    Expert presenter, persuasive and able to think “on the fly” to respond to objections
•    Confidently able to push back on clients in a flexible and “win win” approach

Supervision/Management
•    Expert manager of managers able to assess skills and work to develop where there are gaps
•    Sets expectations and holds the team accountable for all work efforts – meeting objectives, timelines, and having insightful, actionable research findings/ recommendations

Skills and Experience required:
• Minimum of 10+ years of related experience within digital or research agencies, social media and analytics, account management or similar
• Minimum of 4+ years of prior business/account management experience
• Full fluency in English is essentail, ideally with German, or other European languages, but not essential
• Able to prioritize competing research/resource needs
• Champions research findings across the team and business
• Demonstrates superior verbal and written communication skills (including business/professional writing, grammar)
• Has significant experience in traditional research methods and/or big data, social data, or analytics that add depth and insight to research/company efforts
