About the Job

As a PR/Social Media Manager at Rocket Internet you will help building up PR activities for our portfolio companies and work hand in hand with our Global PR team. You will be responsible for corporate communication, B2C PR, media relations, issue management, as well as managing the relevant social media channels like facebook, twitter & co. Writing press releases and distributing them to national and international journalists will be part of your daily tasks. You will take care of the internal media lists and should also have the ability to extend our contacts in the respective media sector. This is an unique opportunity to gain skills required to succeed in an international environment and to learn about cutting edge start-ups in the new media realm.

Who we´re looking for

After earning your university degree in communication and media or business administration with a specialization in marketing, journalism or a related area of study, you have gained your first relevant work experience, preferably in media agencies, or you are looking as top graduate for your perfect career entry. You always have your finger on the pulse of the latest new media trends and startup news. You are confident with MS-Office programs and you have excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and in English. Moreover, you can think outside the box and bring in fresh ideas. Assertiveness combined with creativity completes your profile.
